Twittin’ Time

April 29th, 2009 § 7 comments

So, I thought I would see what all this Twitter fuss is about.

That’s what all that jibberish is about over in the sidebar.  Especially jibberish since you only see one side1 of conversations.  I guess you just have to fill in the rest for yourself.2

I’m not sure I really get why Twittin’ is so popular.  And I’m not sure I’m going to stick with it.  But, I guess I can give it a try.

Besides, Jake is doing it.  So is my latest crush, Hugh3  Can it be so bad?

I follow them.

Maybe they will follow me.

Now you can if you want.

I just can’t promise it’s going to be all that interesting.

  2. That could really be dangerous. []
  3. Crush is putting it mildly.  Avalanche is more like it []

I was on twitter for a while, but I got tired of it after I realized how obnoxious it was. Twitterites spend all their energy incessantly talking about themselves, but rarely do any listening. It is ONE WAY communication that seems to be nothing more than “blah blah blah”. That’s why I unplugged and haven’t been back since.

I haven’t even started with the twitter thing yet. I figure the blog is enough to tell people what I’m up to.

Just another waster of time. I am rather pleased the the past tense of twittering is to have twatted.

Stick with the tried and true. Jake and Hugh will be there at your side whether you Twitter or not.
Of course, this is coming from a man who still listens to LP’s and reads books, so what can i say? HOWEVER, despite fads, Jake and Hugh are still all man and real flesh.

LOL Brett’s (the biggest attention whore I know) comment has me rolling on the floor….one moment while I compose myself.

All better now. Welcome to twitter. It can be addicting as well as boring at times. I enjoy it as it allows me to remove some of the more mundane stuff from my blog while still being able to express it. Unlike some, I use social tools to actually BE social. I’ve met some real world friends off twitter.

i twitter. and i cellbrief. i dont feel like most twitterings need to be responded to. most are about oneself. that is what i thought the point of it was. boring bullshit some pay attention to and others dont. but that is just this boys opinion.

is it pretty likely that Hugh’s and Jake’s twittering is ghost-twitted?

that verb is a little, well, fey for the likes of Tone and his earth-shaking avalanche causers.

And I know Tone doesn’t go to many movies, but big screen Hugh in WOLVERINE might be worth it. Enjoyed the film, though at times it sure did seem like big-budget, soft-core gay porn (lots of foreplay, no consummation). A lot of literal and metaphorical endowment-measuring, what with Liev Schreiber, Hugely Jacked Man, Ryan Reynolds, a muscle bear who goes soft eventually, the token black guy, and even a boyish Dominic Monaghan (sp?). Interesting that in one scene Dom seems to be challenge-cruising a hot fella as much as flirting with his date at a carnival. There is even a slightly incestous angle, and a high-tech S&M-flavored scene where Hugely is strapped nekkid into a device that submerges him in water then injects molten metal via multiple needles. In fact, Jacked Man’s flesh is seen A LOT, including one fine butt or a great body double’s. He even, in “civilian” life, plays a lumberjack and that’s okay. I can see the porn parodies now….WOLF LATRINE or for the bear set, WOOF LATRINE.

oh yeah, I forgot the cool calculating Asian hardbody too…these guys all love to hate each other, but it’s a fine line.
